In-home respite involves care staff coming to your home to provide one-on-one support in a familiar environment. They can also take the person being cared for on an outing while you enjoy a break or attend to your own needs.

Daytime outings with a small group of people enable the older person to get out and about, spend time with others and visit local sights, attractions and cafes.

We can also arrange transport to medical appointments, the hairdresser, local shops, community groups and more.

Our local centres offer tailored, high-quality care and social connections programs, including dementia-specific respite, in a safe and stimulating environment.  This enables carers to schedule regular respite breaks.

Sometimes carers need a longer break, to go away on holiday, to rest and recharge or to get extra support for the person they are caring for if they are recovering from a medical procedure or illness.

This is where a short-term stay of two weeks or more in one of our residential care homes is a great option.    

Respite customers have full access to the quality care and amenities available, including 24/7 clinical care, vibrant lifestyle and activities programs, chef-prepared meals and access to allied health services.

To get started, you will require an Aged Care Assessment. Our team can help you organise this.
    
Once you have completed your Aged Care Assessment, you will receive a referral through myagedcare.gov.au. Our team will then reach out to you to make your first appointment.  

The Government provides up to 63 days of subsidised care per financial year. This includes both planned and emergency residential respite care. This can be extended by 21 days at a time if approved by your assessor.
