About

As an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia, Uniting AgeWell has a long history of providing residential, home care and community services for older Australians in Victoria and Tasmania.

A rich history

As an organisation of the Uniting Church, we have been serving the needs of older Victorians and Tasmanians for more than seventy years.

Many of our communities were established by individual congregations responding to the needs of local older people more than 70 years ago.

In 2004, these services were brought together as one organisation, Uniting Aged Care, which became Uniting AgeWell in 2013.

Uniting AgeWell is a practical expression of the Church at work. Our name proudly shows the strong connection to the Church and its beliefs, as well as representing a positive view of ageing in the 21st century.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a national leader, creating thriving and inclusive communities where innovative, high quality aged care services are delivered with respect and kindness.

Our Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan

The Uniting AgeWell Strategic Plan 2022-2026 is our blueprint for the future.

We sought to embrace both the challenges and opportunities that help reshape the future of aged care in this country; to be a strong voice and advocate for change and an exemplar of best practice in aged care.

We reset our vision, purpose and values and the strategic priorities which guide us through this five-year period.

Identity Statement

Defining our identity

Uniting AgeWell developed an Identity Statement to publicly recognise and acknowledge the connection between the organisation and the Uniting Church in Australia, and the role aged care plays in the mission of the Church.

The Identity Statement articulates the role of Uniting AgeWell, what it does and how it works within the ethos of the Uniting Church.
